Spring Guide

Spring is a season of new beginnings, renewal, and growth. As winter recedes, our bodies make ready to lighten, cleanse, and rejuvenate. As the days lengthen and warm, it is common to experience a renewed sense of joy. But for many, spring is also associated with seasonal irritants (hello allergies), heaviness, and feelings of lethargy. Spring is a season characterized by increased warmth and moisture, and that can lead to an increase in phlegm and sluggishness in the body. By the end of winter, a bit of kapha accumulation is normal for most of us, and spring can often exacerbate that kapha buildup. But with a seasonal diet and lifestyle that invites lightness, sharpness, dryness, and heat, we can support our physiology in its natural process of springtime renewal and revitalization.rnrn

FAQs

Add it at the beginning of cooking savory dishes like soups, vegetables, or leafy greens. You can also use it when sautéing, roasting, boiling, making patties or savory pancakes, and more.

  1. Boil 10 oz. of water in a small pot. Reduce the heat to low, whisk in two heaping spoonfuls of the liver support broth, cover, and simmer for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Strain, and garnish with lime juice, olive oil, and/or black pepper if you’d like.  Enjoy warm.

You can have it once a day between meals. Sip it slowly while it’s still warm.

The kitchari and soup will be too heating if your Pitta is very high. The rest of the products are tridoshic.
