Warming Kitchari is a rich and peppery one-pot meal that’s perfect for the cooler months or when you’re feeling unsettled. We’ve combined soaked and dehydrated grains and lentils with our freshly ground spice blend to make a convenient, feel-good meal. Enjoy this delicious, plant-based dish as is, or add your favorite veggies. Ready in 20 minutes.

This product is designed to have the entire package contents cooked at once. Each group size package contains 8 oz. Each single serving package contains 4 oz.

HOW TO USE

*See packaging for exact quantities

  1. Add package contents plus ghee or olive oil to boiling water. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Add more water if the kitchari begins to stick to the bottom or dry out. The consistency should be creamy but not soupy.
  2. Turn off the heat and let the kitchari set for 3 to 5 minutes, covered.
  3. Serve hot and garnish with a drizzle of ghee or olive oil, fresh lime juice and a sprinkle of chopped fresh herbs such as cilantro, basil, dill or parsley.

Variation: Add diced vegetables to step 1 or chopped leafy greens in the last 5 minutes of cooking. Adjust the salt to taste.
