Turmeric Face Mask
Turmeric is a well-known superfood and it’s considered the king of spices in Ayurveda. But many people don’t know it can be used on the skin as well. From first aid to facials, this mighty herb does it all.

Beyond gorgeous glow, this mask makes your skin feel luxurious to the touch. It even helps to remove unwanted facial hairs and peach fuzz for the ultimate skin-smoothing effect. This recipe makes enough to cover the face, neck, and décolletage. It is best to use the mask immediately because it thickens as it sits.
Ingredients
½ teaspoon ground turmeric
2 teaspoons chickpea flour (for sensitive-oily skin) or oat flour (for dry or combination skin)
2 teaspoons sweet almond oil or olive oil
1 teaspoon raw milk, almond milk, or rose water
Instructions
Mix the ingredients in a bowl or a blender until they form a thick paste.
Apply a thick layer of the mask directly to your face, neck, and décolletage.
Let dry for 15 to 20 minutes, until the mask begins to crack.
Rinse off with warm water and a wash-cloth. Look in the mirror and marvel.

- Turmeric is an anti-inflammatory agent that removes redness, reduces puffiness, and even stimulates circulation (meaning it also helps to boost collagen production for a more youthful appearance).
- Chickpea flour absorbs excess oil (so you look luminous, not shiny) and serves to exfoliate the skin’s surface.
- Oat flour boosts hydration and brings softness to dry skin.
- Sweet almond oil and olive oil moisturize deep down, smoothing out lines and wrinkles and giving the skin a lustrous, dewy glow.
- Raw milk, almond milk, and rose water soften, hydrate, and give the skin a boost of radiance.
